I often find the world,
Makes me sad and leaves me blue,
The things that happen on this earth,
Seem like fiction and untrue,
I often ask myself,
How did we fall so far ?
When did we lose morality,
Our world, abuse and scar ?
I often ask myself,
When we succumbed to greed,
Ignored the helpless ones,
And the starving mouths to feed,
I often ask myself,
When we all forgot to care,
Walked over the homeless,
And ignored that they were there,
I often ask myself,
When we let the leeches pray,
Upon the vulnerable and sick,
As they do it every day,
I often ask myself,
How did we come to fail,
The infirm and oppressed,
Over which we drew a veil,
I often ask myself,
Why dictators got elected,
Ground the people into dust,
The populace rejected,
I often ask myself,
Why the colour of our skin,
Means that many in our world,
Will always lose and never win,
I often ask myself,
Why using your Gods name,
To kill the innocent,
Never brings the killer shame,
I often find the world,
Offers nothing more than pain,
I simply cannot fathom,
Why the worlds gone so insane.
